Nike Cross Nationals (NXN) began in 2004 as a way to determine the best cross country team in the nation. Initially, a selection process was used to get teams in the meet. In 2007, a regional qualifying system was implemented with 8 regions plus California's state meet to determine the teams in the meet. At NXN (and NXR) teams are identified by their club names and not their school names. Club names typically are geographically based. Below are the finishes for Wayzata XC Club at NXN over the years. On the "NXN All-Time Team Results" link are all of the team places at NXN along with number of appearances and schools identified along with their club names. NXN was not held in 2020 or 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
